LOOP is an acronym to describe the approach I have to instructional design.  Learning Outcome Oriented Practice.

ALOTA is an acronym for my instructional design model.  It provides an easy-to-remember method of remembering the elements of a lesson plan (the smallest instructional unit in my model.)

  • Attention
  • Learning Outcomes
  • Teaching
  • Assessment

Loosely based on Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction, I utilize this method to organize Lesson Plans and Chapters in my courses and in my CourseBooks.

My Lesson Plans page provides links to Lessons that I have created.   I consider these public domain, but would appreciate attribution to them if they are used.

The ALOTA Series is a series of short books I have created that cover a diverse array of topics related to Instructional Design, Teaching with Technology, and using Apple tools and software.

These books represent my published work as an Apple Distinguished Educator.
